Domain Name Presentation
[See also: Resources and Confusables]
Because domain names are not case sensitive, when you own a domain name you will own all the capitalisation combinations as well.
So by owning laserprinters.com you also own:
- LaserPrinters.com
- LASERPRINTERS.com
- LASERprinters.com etc
The most readable (and the most popular) way of displaying any domain name is to capitalise the first letter of each word, ie LaserPrinters.com.
You also own the sub domains. For example:
You will also own all the email addresses for the domain, eg:
- bill.smith@laserprinters.com
- marketing@laserprinters.com
- sales@laserprinters.com
See descriptive domain names
explained and their
benefits.
