One buyer has acquired a valuable patch of internet real estate with their purchase of Forums.com this week.
The premium domain name Forums.com was sold through registrar Sedo and was put on the auction block by its previous owner Adam Dicker, who is the founder of DNForum and internet domain registrar and web hosting company GoDaddy.
Its new owner, who paid $400,000 for the address, clearly understands the value of a generic domain names in terms of their ability to catch traffic and create a memorable online base.
Further examples of generic domain names that are still available to purchase for businesses hoping to bolster their online presence are AffordableInternetBusiness.com or Conveyancing.com.
Other generic domain names sold by Sedo this week include Primus.com ($33,000), ParisFrance.com ($12,100) and EnterpriseGroup.com ($17,500), reports Domain Name Wire.
