Affilliate.us and DiscountTravel.co.uk reach high price

A number of generic domain names are reaching high prices on an auction put together by Sedo, according to Domain Name Wire.
The industry news website reports that Affiliate.us had reached around $178,000 as of yesterday with one unknown buyer having placed the high bid.
Among the other sites that were featured in the auction was DiscountTravel.co.uk which had reached an auction price of around $24,000, which the site noted was "a very strong price for a .co.uk."
Christmas.co.uk had reportedly attracted around 14 bids and attained a price tag of $27,000 USD, although it was noted that this figure had not reached the reserve.
Sedo's next auction is due to take place this Thursday and contains some other potentially valuable addresses.
It is expected that Actors.com could change hands for anything between $50,000 and $200,000 with Silver.net, MailOrder.com and Coed.com all expecting a similar price range.
