Travel website Lastminute.com has revealed a new application for use with a T-Mobile phone that utilises a compass to locate local attractions.
T-Mobile's G1 Android-based handset, with the help of Lastminute.com, can now be used by travellers to hunt down activities while on their holidays, reported Pocket-lint.co.uk.
Restaurants, bars, cinemas, theatres and cafes can be pinpointed by the phone's GPS and built-in compass for culture vultures on the lookout for something to do.
In other news, another generic website, Confused.com, recently explained the processes involved in revamping its site and implementing the latest technology to improve navigation and usability.
The site teamed up with customer experience research firm fhios to measure users' responses and develop applications in accordance with this.
