The stork has delivered some good news for one savvy buyer who this week bought a piece of internet real estate with the $85,000 purchase of generic domain name BabyShop.com.
Entrepreneurs with ambitions to set up a baby product business online were pipped to the post in buying this piece of prime internet real estate by the site's new owner, Domain Name Wire relates.
It could be used to provide new and expectant parents with a range of useful products, or to provide advice to those whose homes recently heard the patter of tiny feet.
Similar generic domain names that could provide an ideal online base for businesses dealing in childcare-related products include ChildrensCars.com and CheapBabyStuff.com.
According to the news source, Sedo also sold a plethora of other generic domain names this week, such as ParisApartments.com (15,000 euros), Farmtown.com ($12,300) and Irate.com ($10,099).
