26th January 2009 Bingo.com granted gaming license for Malta

It has been announced that generic domain name Bingo.com has been granted a license for gaming operations in Malta.
The Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority granted the license, under which Bingo.com is permitted to operate a gaming website through a Maltese host.
Following this, the website will apply to become fully operational in Britain.
Tarnie Williams, chief executive officer of the site, stated: "While we continue to develop support for different currencies and different languages around the world, the UK is a critical market for our success."
Bingo.com has over 1,950,000 registered users and counts slot machine, multiplayer bingo and sweepstakes games among the services it offers.
In November, Bingo.com announced that it experienced a ten per cent growth in revenue during the third quarter of 2008, bringing its total income up to $1,560,087 by the end of September.
