For those eco-friendly families and individuals looking to buy a new car, the people at generic domain name Cars.com have outlined what they believe to be the best hybrid vehicles currently on the market.
Editor-in-chief of the website Patrick Olsen explains that hybrid cars are still more expensive than conventional cars and stated that the recommendations are perfect for those "looking to go green without spending too much green".
The premium domain name hands the best value hybrid car accolade to the 2009 Toyota Prius, which costs $22,000 and boasts a better size than its competitors the Toyota Yaris and the Nissan Versa.
According to the site, the Honda Insight is the best compact hybrid car, while in the mid-sized category, the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid claims the top spot.
Each vehicle was awarded an efficiency cost rating by Cars.com, which was devised using their combined city and highway miles per gallon figure against the manufacturers' suggested retail price.
Those firms who want to base their online operations from a generic domain name, like Cars.com, could consider buying up a piece of internet real estate with the names Motorbikes.com or CarWindows.com.
