Generic domain name ComputerParts.com has sold for $80,000, the fourth-highest amount in the week ending June 22nd.
It was offered through Moniker and T.R.A.F.F.I.C. East, and the figure paid was beaten only by the sake of Deals.de, Blonde.com and Track.com, DN Journal reports.
T.R.A.F.F.I.C. East is a domain name conference which hosts a major auction of prime domain names.
In 2006, the domain name cameras.com was sold at the event for $1.5 million. At the same conference, flowers.mobi was exchanged for $200,000.
Writing for DN Journal, Ron Jackson commented that sales made at the conference occupy two top places on its list of costly sales, with Track.com occupying third place with the sale for $92,500.
"Deals.de was the top sale reported in any extension, nipping Blonde.com, a name that attracted $99,000 at Sedo's GreatDomains.com," he added.
The domain name Deals.de was privately traded this month for £102,182, making it the costliest domain name sold between June 16th and 22nd.
