17th January 2008 DOMAINfest heads for Hollywood

This week sees the opening of the DOMAINfest Global Conference, where a host of experts and speakers from the domain name industry.
DN Journal reports that this year's conference, which takes place at Hollywood's Renaissance Hotel between January 21st and 23rd, is "back by popular demand" and will have something for everyone involved or interested in the sector.
It is reported that due to the success of last year's conference and the "phenomenal growth" of the domain name industry, this year's event will see the organisers Oversee.net pull out all the stops to offer a range of speakers and auctions.
Keynote speeches from Wired Magazine co-founder and SEO expert John Batelle as well as an appearance by domain investor Frank Schilling will compliment a "live domain auction derby" that will include such generic domain sales such as SoapOperas.com and BookMarks.com, among others.
SnapNames.com, the company behind the live auction, predicts that between 300 and 400 top domains are set to go under the hammer - a preliminary catalogue for which can be found at the firm's website.
