Trader Corporation, which deals in print and online vertical media, has chosen premium generic domain name Dealer.com to assist it with a new project.
The expertise of both firms will be pooled to bring Canada's vehicle industry a host of enhanced online marketing solutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, Dealer.com's proficiency in marketing will be made available for the publisher's customer base under the AutoTrader brand.
Douglas Clarke, president of the Trader Corporation, said: "This strategic agreement with Dealer.com gives Trader greatly enhanced capabilities, enabling us to offer a one-stop integrated solution to Canadian auto dealers."
Dealer.com has a client base of 8,000 car dealers across the US, the equivalent of one-third of new motor dealerships in the country.
In related developments, premium domain name Cars.com this week announced that the number of sales it saw during the first working week of 2009 surpassed expectations and rose by 19 per cent compared to the same time last year.
