Companies that do not have a domain name and therefore a presence on the internet are "losing money each day", according to one expert.
Scot Alliy, president of eComInvestments.com and internet entrepreneur, told addpr.com that when it comes to domain names "it is no longer a question of if you are going to make money, but when".
Mr Alliy urges businesses that do not want to pay higher prices for domains that were cheaper a year ago to simply take the plunge, as each day they delay could "pay for a premium domain name in as little time as months or perhaps a year".
He furthered that if consumers are searching for your services using traditional methods then "you can bet there are internet users also looking for your product or service".
Last month, Ron Jackson, editor of Domain Name Journal, said that owning a "category-killing domain name opens doors" for businesses.
