Industry website Domain Name Wire has released the results of a survey it conducted recently.
Revealing some predicted trends and statistics for the 2009, the website's fourth annual poll shows that one-third of respondents expect domain names to increase in value this year.
It also revealed that the top two considerations for those choosing a domain name registrar are security and price, in this order.
When it comes to domain name parking, only 16 per cent of respondents said their income from this practice had increased since the last survey was undertaken.
Additionally, those questioned by the poll predicted that the biggest obstacle facing the domain name community over the next year will be the current global recession.
Those hoping to enter the fold of the domain name community by purchasing some valuable domain names could consider examples such as Camera.com or EntrepreneurialBusiness.com, which are still available for the taking.
