Domain name news brought to you by DescriptiveDomainNames.com
This week a generic domain name was sold to a name-buying entrepreneur for an impressive sum of money.
Freecoupon.com was snapped up for $60,000 by Michael Ambrose, who also owns the second generic domain name cleaning.com, DN Journal reported.
Cleaning.com is currently used to offer cleaning tips to internet users, as well as to sell cleaning products across America.
Being a generic domain name, freecoupon.com could be used for a variety of purposes, such as allowing people tickets to events or providing links to sites where such resources could be utilised.
However, the website is currently being used to enable the printing off of money-saving coupons for items such as food and hygiene products.
Other generic domain name sales executed this week include winebymail.com, naturalgarden.com and bikersafety.com.
The .com suffix claimed the most attention within the address sales chart this week, with 27 out of 30 names being bought within the domain.
