Generic sales reach high prices for Sedo

A number of domain names fetched high prices at auction this week as DN Journal reports "another big week" for Sedo.
The industry news website reports that the company sold another 16 domain names including Fly.co.uk, which sold for $181,042 and Phones.co.uk which was purchased for a final price of $93,071.
It was also reported that Workbooks.com changed hands this week for $31,000 and CasinoCruises.com fetched $25,000. Private sales such as Free.info ($42,000) and Relative.com ($20,000) were also highlighted as major acquisitions.
It had been reported that the highest sale, Fly.co.uk, had been reported for some time, however, DN Journal reports that this was only confirmed by Sedo in the early part of this week.
The sale of Workbooks.com was arranged by AfternicDLS and NameBuyers.com was the company behind the handling of CasinoCruises.com
The website also reports this week that the sale of Fly.co.uk enters the top ten of 2007 along with the likes of Xmas.com, which was sold for $294,200 by Moniker/T.R.A.F.F.I.C.
