Premium domain name Hotels.com has announced that it is to raise its profile further and advertise across a wider range of digital platforms.
The site will now advertise its services on radio, TV, magazines, newspapers and public outdoor spaces as well as on IdeaCast's Airline TV, Healthclub TV and Six Flags TV.
It will also be the first firm to develop a custom :120 ad unit to reach business representatives and professionals on the move, reported Mediaweek.
Vic Walia, senior director of brand marketing for the site, stated that working with IdeaCast has meant the firm can "find consumers at key aperture moments".
He continued: "While TV, radio and magazines add mass reach with appropriate frequency levels, DOOH in airplanes and health clubs has been added to the media plan in order to be much more targeted."
Another travel-related firm using a generic domain name, Lastminute.com, last week announced that it has launched an android application for use with T-Mobile's G1 handset, Pocket-lint.co.uk reported.
