Investors in internet real estate may be interested in new .com.au generic domain names.
The TLD, introduced in June, has already seen several five-figure sales, Newsfleet.com.au has said, describing the situation as an "internet gold rush".
Australia has seen some generic domain names hit six figures, with Jobs.com.au sold for an estimated $193,000. Tennis.com.au was sold for between $58,000 and $77,000, according to the auctioneer.
Generic Mail.com.au is currently being auctioned for the asking price of $967,000 on its auction site.
According to Newsfleet: "The .au domain aftermarket has experienced a tremendous start and it's only a matter of time until we can expect to see the first of the dot com dot au millionaires."
The site added domain name owners can make money by renting as well as selling URLs.
The auDA is the Australian domain name administrator. It was formed in 1999 and was formally endorsed by the Australian government the following year.
