The future of the domain name industry is bright, one expert has suggested this week.
According to a spokesman for Elysium Internet, a company which deals in direct navigation domains and other internet real estate, the sector is booming and the best of this has not yet been seen.
Elysium Internet's chairman and chief executive officer Scott Gallagher said that a number of valuable domain names remain undeveloped and that these premium addresses will increasingly be turned into successful web-based businesses.
"We believe a limited opportunity exists to capture a larger piece of this internet real estate and develop it into profitable business that will generate cash and growth for years to come," he said.
He added that the company would continue to add the best available addresses to its domain name portfolio and that these assets would continue to be a worthwhile investment.
It was announced this week that Elysium Internet expected to post profitable sales of between $28 and $32 Million for the fiscal year of 2008, CNN Money reports.
