Scott Alliy, president of net advisor Allied Internet Solutions, has sung the praises of generic domain names as a great way to launch an e-business.
"Product branding via the use of generic domain names is now standard operating procedure for marketing groups of companies both large and small" said AddPR.com, a news and press release portal and distribution service created by Mr Alliy.
Further explaining the web whiz's online philosophy, AddPR.com said that the marketing industry was quickly catching on to the importance of generic domain names and generic word phrases in targeting customer trends.
"Consumers are saying give me something I can remember and retailers manufacturers and consumer service providers are responding by adapting generic domain names into their marketing mix," said the site.
Mr Alliy was also reported to believe that companies wishing to launch their profile through a great and catchy name should be inventive when thinking of the generic domain name or phrase, with more possibilities out there than some might think.
In addition to founding AddPR.com and running Houston-based Allied Internet Solutions, Scott Alliy is the president of the Online Business Ethics Association, making his a voice well qualified to promote the importance of generic domain names.
