January and February 'popular time to register domains'

As a new report reveals that January and February are the most popular months to register a website, one expert suggests it is vital for businesses to secure a strong domain.
According to new research by AmenWorld.com, a company that provides help for businesses in domain registration, the beginning of the year is a time when the industry sees a high number of sales as businesses rush to get set up online.
In a statement issued alongside the research, AmenWorld.com states that it is vital for new web companies to invest in a strong and simple web address - such as those provided by generic domain names.
"The web address of a company is a core part of its brand. Registering a domain name should be the first thing any entrepreneur does after deciding to go into business," the statement said.
Many businesses find that investing in a generic domain name can be helpful in providing consumers with an easy way of finding their products and services.
Last month Gents.com - a site which sells gents' beauty products and toiletries - was purchased for $100,444.
