A generically named online dating service has announced a deal with one of the world's premier social networking sites, it has emerged.
According to industry news website DM News, Match.com is to enter into a deal with Facebook that will see the website significantly boost its generic brand name with a Little Black Book application.
The website reports that Match.com will offer Facebook users the chance to arrange encounters with friends and potential matches based on their shared interests and compatibility.
Commenting on the new application Robbie Waeschenfelder, manager of marketing at Match.com said that the move was a great opportunity for the company to build on its current base of users.
"Social Networking is a great opportunity to reconnect with people that you used to know and old family members, and it presents a great opportunity for singles to meet people through friends," he said.
Match.com offers a range of online dating services and has done so since its establishment in 1995.
