'Months of negotiations' led to sale of UKBusinessForums.co.uk

Following on from months of negotiations, the generic domain name UKBusinessForums.co.uk has been sold privately for £250,000.
Northampton-based entrepreneur Richard Osborne purchased the domain name in 2004 before investing £10,000 in an intensive profile branding campaign.
Making the most of the name's catchy and memorable title, his aggressive marketing campaign proved to be a success and UKBusinessForums.co.uk is now the UK's leading business forum website.
Commenting on the sale of the generic domain name to Sift Media, a business-to-business publisher specialising in online communities, Mr Osborne said that he had not initially intended to sell the website.
Explaining his change of heart, he said: "Not only did the offer come at the right time for me in terms of allowing me to further develop my wider businesses portfolio, but Sift Media are just as passionate as I am about growing valuable online communities - so I knew it would be in safe hands.
UKBusinessForums.co.uk presently offers free small-business advice to more than 10,000 registered members.
