Generic website Printer.com, which deals in accessories for printers, has appointed a new director of US operations.
Since Bob Crum joined the firm in October, the website has acquired more than 12 online partners which it uses to sell and advertise its products.
Mr Crum has previously dealt with companies within the Fortune 500, as well as printer manufacturer Hewlett Packard and Sun Microsystems.
Marcel Borgman, international director and co-founder of Printer.com, explained: "Bob's decades of marketing and sales experience are a highly valued asset to Printer.com and its mission to provide the most complete informational online resource to find printers and cartridges."
Mr Borgman added that as budgets are particularly tight at the present time, the site's printer profile utility is providing people with "a new tool to save money".
The generic domain name Printer.com sold for $800,000 in August this year.
