A numeric domain name has been sold for an impressive six-figure sum, it has been announced.
Generic domain name 25.com was sold for $124,555 by Sedo.com.
The registrar also pulled off some equally impressive sales during the same week, including Casas.net, or houses in Spanish, for $120,930.
At the beginning of December, Domain Name Wire reported on Sedo's numeric domain name sales and highlighted that 25.com, 40.com and 70.com already had reserve prices of $100,000 each.
A numeric site could be used for many different purposes - to sell anniversary or birthday products, to show details of charts or countdowns or even to host a company with the same name.
Last month, Sedo auctioned a host of numeric domain names, whose high sales prices suggest the businesses are taking the viability of these addresses very seriously.
A total of $350,000 was paid for 77.com, while 248.com went for $175,000 and 49.com fetched an impressive $91,500.
