Domain name news brought to you by DescriptiveDomainNames.com
Generic domain name Scholarship.com has announced it will adopt the Scholarship Data Standard, which is designed to simplify its services.
Now, prospective college students will be able to browse a larger number of opportunities open to them via the premium domain name, whose services are free.
The Scholarship Data Standard allows students to search and apply for several scholarships on one fell swoop, removing the need for them to fill out numerous, time-consuming forms.
Emily Hilleren, director of content at the premium domain name, highlighted that filling out different applications can put some people off the process and the firm hopes that the new method will help academics.
"Students have lives and jobs and coursework, too, and we're hopeful the data standard will help them win scholarships without giving up all of that," she added.
Last year, scholars were invited to vote for their favourite teachers by generic domain name RateMyProfessors.com, which then devised a list of the best education professionals working in the US.
