PaintballGuns.com auctioned on eBay

The generic domain name PaintballGuns.com is being auctioned on eBay and has so far attracted a $27,877 price tag and an impressive 45 bids.
With less than ten hours remaining for businesses to bid on the premium domain name, it has already attracted an impressive amount of attention.
According to Domain Name Wire, the generic domain name has been sold three times within the last five years, first at Pool in 2004 for $21,830, then at Sedo in 2007 for $15,000 and again in December 2008 on NameJet for $10,299.
Despite the current economic downturn, it appears that demand for the name, which could be used as a base for an online paintball supplies business, has once again soared.
On the auction site, the seller highlights that they make $10 a day from parking the site and that plural versions of generic domain names, such as Printers.com and BusinessCertificates.com, can sometimes prove to be "worth much more than the singular".
The auction is due to close at 3am GMT.
