Domain name news brought to you by DescriptiveDomainNames.com
Despite some industry analysts that have suggested you can no longer make money from generic domain names, a new article has noted this is not the case.
According to DN Journal, there are five ways that internet real estate can prove to be profitable and the site rejects suggestions that it is now "too late" to benefit from premium domain names
It is reported that by purchasing existing generic domains and boosting their web traffic and online value, investors can "watch the cash roll in" and notes that providing services to domain owners - such as appraisal or keyword optimisation - can be lucrative.
Predictive domaining is also highlighted as an area that should be considered as the emergence of new phrases continually provides opportunities for the future.
"There are lots of other terms that aren't hot (or even known) today that will be tomorrow," the site advises.
Among the other suggestions are obtaining internet real estate "from distressed property owners" and staying in the market "for the long haul" - as a lot can change in a short space of time.
