Premium generic domains fetch high prices at Traffic conference

This week's Traffic conference held in the New York Marriott Brooklyn and finishing today, has seen some premium generic domain names go under the hammer for impressive prices.
First of all, CountryClubs.com, snapped up for $85,000, fetched one of the highest prices of the event.
At the same auction, generic domain name DayTraders.com was sold for an equally stunning $80,000.
The site currently features explanations of terms, advice for users and links to other sites connected to the trading industry.
Rick Latona's auction, where the names were sold, was one of three held over the course of the event, with another generic domain name, StayAtHome.com going for $15,000.
It seems companies hold generic domain names in high value, as these sales follow on from the success of Printer.com, which a Dutch firm spent half of its funds – or $800,000 – in acquiring last month.
