30th March 2009 PrimeLocation.com adopts Google and Microsoft mapping systems
Domain name news brought to you by DescriptiveDomainNames.com
A UK-based firm operating from the generic domain name PrimeLocation.com has adopted Google's Street View and Microsoft's Bird's Eye View Aerial to enhance its customers' property-searching experience.
The company which runs the premium domain name has decided to add the applications to property listings in a bid to create innovative, higher standards in the industry, it claimed.
From now on, those searching for property via the site can peruse potential homes using Street View, which provides a virtual tour of the area, allowing users to view local features and landmarks.
"This move to multi-visual mapping will grant our users a detailed, comprehensive understanding of the area that interests them - while they are still in the early stages of the buying or renting process," stated Chris Evans, head of online marketing for PrimeLocation.com.
As many firms running from generic domain names tend to take pioneering approaches to business strategies, those companies looking for similar slices of internet real estate may like to consider purchasing OfficesToLet.com or FlatsToLet.com.
