Geographical generic domain name SanJuan.com was sold for an impressive $150,000 this week, it has been revealed.
The deal was sealed at respected industry figure Rick Latona's live auction, held during Traffic's Down Under domain name convergence, reported domainnamenews.com.
SanJuan.com could prove to be lucrative for figures working in the tourism industry, travel agents and hotel owners or could be set up as a travel guide or even a search engine connecting consumers to services within the Puerto Rican city.
Other names to sell at Latona's auction include Thinner.com ($15,000), CharterAirplane.com ($2,750), CR.com ($150,000), GranolaBar.com ($3,800) and ProBasketball.com ($5,000).
Perhaps SanJuan.com will follow in the footsteps of successful geographical site Hawaii.com, a broad database for those searching for information on the state.
It recently announced that its look has been revamped and services updated to allow for a better visitor experience.
