27th August 2008 Several big domain name sales pulled off this week

It has been a busy time of late for generic domain name sales as various noteworthy deals were executed this week.
Two names sold within just one week made DN Journal's top ten chart of the biggest domain name sales of the year so far.
Printer.com entered the chart in a respectable fifth place after being sold recently for an impressive $800,000.
The name was bought by Dutch company Treasuron and the address will come into use on September 2nd.
Another high-earner was affiliate.com, which fetched $579,900 when sold through internet registry Moniker this week. This deal saw the domain name earn ninth place in the website's sales chart.
The website was acquired by American firm Media Breakway, which operates the CPA Empire affiliate advertisement network.
Other notable sales of late include worlwidetravel.com, beachpatrol.com and Weddings.org, which were bought for $27,000, $17,500 and $34,500 respectively.
