Sharp brand-advertising 'will use Movies.com'

Electronic goods company Sharp is set to kick off a multi-million dollar brand-advertising campaign, using the heavy traffic and wide audience of sites like Movies.com as a springboard - it has been claimed.
Sharp is hoping to promote is slim-line D64U Aquos LCD TV series, with a multi-media advertising drive set to target online advertising on consumer websites, alongside other channels.
Bob Scaglione, senior vice president and group manager for the Sharp product and marketing group, said that the campaign "explores a new idea and makes a design statement that strengthens the overall image of the Sharp brand".
The current campaign will focus on the site's physical design, with emphasis set to be placed on the thinness of the TV set when – as indicated by electronic goods site Twice.com - sites like Movies.com and Google are used for advertising spots.
Also employing TV advertising, Sharp will feature broadcast commercials during Major League Baseball matches, which alongside the reported use of Movies.com will ensure the company a wide-ranging audience comprising a large age bracket.
