A silent auction, which forms part of Moniker.com's auction at the annual T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference, ends today although if there is fierce bidding, some auctions may roll over until tomorrow.
A live auction was held last week at the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference in New York and this silent auction contains a further 3,000 domain names. About three to five per cent of the total 3,000 domain names up for grabs have already received bids, but according to Domain Name Wire, most bidders will stay silent until the last minute today.
At the big, live event last week two domains sold for over $1 million and a total of $10 million was raised.
At this silent auction, some of the notable auctioned domains include LastMinuteAirFares.com which was sold for $11,770 and AntiqueMotorcycles.com which went under the hammer at $14,120.
Travel-related domain names were the most active category with names like VacationGetaway.com going for $5,111, CruiseTravelPackages.com at $4,675 and BeachToys.com at $5,623.
