Support.com reveals new tech help service

Support.com has unveiled a new subscription service designed to help families and businesses alike in their quest for technology support.
Once a user subscribes, they will have access to the technical support expertise of engineers in North America, as well as have their computers serviced and updated with the latest anti-virus software.
Upon joining the service, users who experience a technical problem can gain access to advice by simply clicking a support icon on their desktop which will immediately connect them to an engineer.
"As everyone tightens their belts in this economic climate, it's more important than ever that technology support costs are consistent and that users maximize existing technology through proper set-up, security and ongoing maintenance," stated Anthony Rodio, chief operating officer of the site.
Another generically named website that is offering individuals and families a lifeline this festive season is Overstock.com, which is currently running a competition which involves the awarding of $50,000 to a lucky recipient.
