Separating the wheat from the chaff when it comes to recipes, the premium domain name Food.com, which is currently being beta tested, will serve as a helpful search engine for those about to slip on the oven gloves and impress their loved ones with a culinary masterpiece.
Rather than sifting through internet pages of amateur recipes, Food.com will allow users to access the finest recipes from top sites such as Food & Wine, Epicurious, Cooking Light and Chow.com.
The Food Section reports that "interestingly, Food.com doesn't only list recipe titles from the other recipe sites. It generates a thumbnail photo and […] scrapes the entire ingredient lists as well".
Like the straightforward address Food.com, other generic domain names that could be used as hubs for information by aspiring businesses include the still-available
Calories.com and BasicFoodGroups.com.
