Internet resource website articlealley.com recommends potential buyers to consider factors such as how long you will register the domain name for and where you will do it.
The website also recommended that a .com domain is the ideal, though it can be difficult finding an available address. However, it may be worth a company's efforts to buy the .net or .org equivalents in order to beat off competitors.
Also, the longer you initially register for, the less you'll have to worry about keeping up with fee payments in the future, the website advised.
