Legacy.com has continued to expand its partnership programme with newspapers to bring memorial services online.
The company has announced it is to join forces with Australia's Herald Sun, Canada's Toronto Star, the Royal Gazette in Bermuda and five Irish newspapers.
This latest raft of deals expands upon the existing network of 700 newspapers which allows Legacy.com to provide memorial sites and guest books in North America and Europe.
Stopher Bartol, president and chief executive of Legacy.com, said that the company's goal has always been to allow individuals to create lasting memorials to loved ones.
"Now more people will be able to develop interactive memorial sites that include biographical information, photos, videos and more, ensuring a permanent online presence for the deceased," he added.
The Canadian Press reports that another generically named memorial site - Tributes.com - joined Legacy.com in offering a place for individuals to record their memories of the actor Paul Newman, who died last month.
