The annual Traffic conference has started in New York and is set to attract the biggest names in domain name dealership.
Providing a chance for the community to trade ideas and make speeches, this year's event is being held at the Marriott Hotel at the Brooklyn Bridge.
Three major auctions make up the main attractions of this year's conference, including one hosted by domain name registrars Moniker on the opening night (September 23rd) which involved several premium generic domain names going under the hammer.
Some of these included GasPrices.com, Cleaning.com, BankStatements.com and BirthdayPresents.com.
The conference, which finishes on Friday 26th September, was founded by Rick Schwartz and Howard Neu.
Topics likely to be discussed among domain name professionals this year include better traffic targeting and maximizing profits, according to dnxpert.com.
Sponsors also use the Traffic convention as a "launch pad for new products", D N Journal states, as well as a consultation on what's new in the domain business.
