Vacation.com teams up with Tripology

Tripology, a website dealing in travel information and services, has signed an agreement with generic domain name Vacation.com.
Vacation.com has now prioritised Tripology as a supplier and the two organisations have also struck up a technology-based partnership, which includes the development of lead generation.
Steve Tracas, chief executive officer and president of Vacation.com, said that the deal is one way for the site's members to "find new customers to increase sales, which is one of our focuses in 2009".
He added that the alliance enables agents and consumers with the same interests and needs to locate one another more easily.
As 2009 begins, travel websites have been heightening their efforts to promote breaks and getaways to potential holidaymakers, it seems. Generic domain name Macau.com last week announced reduced room rates for those travelling to the region during the Chinese New Year.
