Already a hugely successful website, hotels.com looks set to become even more popular when it expands its service to include Spanish speakers.
The new site, named hotels.com en espanol, will allow Spanish speakers the same access to the service which already allows users to sort and pick hotels by name, price and star rating.
It will also offer last minute deals and virtual tours to allow Spanish people to look at where they will be staying before they decide to book.
"We have a long history of serving Spanish-speaking customers through our points of sale in Latin America and Spain, and are pleased to build out our offering to assist travelers in the US," said Joaquin Tamez, vice president of strategy for hotels.com en espanol.
"Our new site builds on our heritage to offer an in-language experience while also delivering the rich content, searching capability and ease of use our customers have come to expect. hotels.com en espanol is the ideal resource for anyone planning a hotel stay who prefers to book in Spanish."
Founded over 15 years ago, hotels.com has become one of the most familiar websites for travellers on the web offering more than 70,000 properties worldwide, including traditional hotels, vacation rentals, and bed and breakfasts.
Much of its success is likely to be down to its generic domain name which lets internet users skip search engines and get results by typing directly into the address bar.
