Web.com has announced it is to enter into a partnership with internet services firm Tucows in order to offer more personalised services to consumers.
Some of the new services to be offered include personalised email and web addresses to businesses hoping to debut their brands online.
Tucows' website claims that this utility allows resellers "white label access" to a wide range of common surnames, amounting to 39,000 domains, with the personal service offering a "suitable domain name for the top 100 surnames in the US".
"Too many service providers are content to let their users get email from Google, Yahoo or Microsoft without realising the cost to their business," said Elliot Noss, Tucows' chief executive officer and president.
He furthered that the company sees "quality email experience with a great, personalised email" as important to keeping customers happy and recommending the service to others.
Two other firms, Live Current Media and Domain Strategies, also collaborated earlier this month in order to co-build the generic address Karate.com.
